The Story Behind blubird

Blubird is more than a company to me; it’s a reflection of a meaningful journey, a deep love for the outdoors, and a tribute to someone who will forever hold a special place in my heart.

My name is Blu, founder and of Blubird Design llc. The idea behind blubird grew from many years of playing golf, spending time outdoors, and appreciating the beauty of nature. My mother, Linda, was a golf professional for many years and had a profound love for the natural world, especially birds. After she lost her battle with pancreatic cancer in 2019, I made the name and logo blubird official as a way to honor her life and keep her spirit alive.

The bluebird holds many beautiful symbolic and cultural meanings. It represents good luck, peace, happiness, and emotional healing. In some Native American traditions, the bluebird is associated with spring, the sun, renewal, and the growth of the earth. Bluebirds also symbolize the joy and contentment found within our homes and everyday lives. In outdoor sports, particularly skiing and snowboarding, a “bluebird day” describes a beautiful, sunny day with clear blue skies and ideal conditions to enjoy the outdoors.

These meanings are deeply connected to who my mother was and how she lived her life. She embodied love, gratitude, happiness, and peace in everything she did. Through her passion for golf, her appreciation for nature, and the joy she found in life’s simple moments, she represented everything the bluebird symbolizes.

This is the heart and soul of blubird. It is my way of honoring my mother’s legacy while sharing the beauty, peace, and happiness she brought into my life with others. My hope is that blubird serves as a reminder to find your own moments of joy, embrace the beauty around you, and appreciate the simple things that make life so meaningful.
